Welcome to Milford House Family Therapy! With today's hectic culture, it is imperative we make time to reflect on where we are, how we got here, and where we want to go. Life is a marathon, and I am so appreciative of the opportunity to join you on your journey. To help you decide if we might work well together, please take a look at the information below. If you have questions or want to know more, please email or call: email@example.com or 913-216-5807.
Who I work with. I work with families, couples, and individuals ages 13+ who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, work/life direction, work performance, work satisfaction, sexual issues, and trauma.
My approach. I use a solution-focused and narrative approach to individual therapy and coaching. Together, we will identify current symptoms, your hopes for success, past and current obstacles, and answers to life's challenges. My sessions are active and client-centered. I use goal-setting, decision-making, and behavioral techniques to help clients initiate and make lasting change.
My credentials. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Kansas (LMFT) with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from Friends University in Kansas City. I am a bi-vocational professional with 15+ years of leadership experience at Farmers Insurance as part of the award-winning University of Farmers Claims Team. I have over ten years of experience developing and delivering leadership content to both workshop and online audiences. I earned my Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2010, a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation in 2016, and I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, Lawrence in 2000. I continue to work at Farmers full-time as a claims training manager.
